What not to wear
This image conveys a sense that this
family "belongs" together. This family is
a "team" of sorts. Achieving this is not
difficult or expensive. For a casual
appearance, denim blue jeans, and
white t-shirts make a great impact. For a
semi casual look, khaki pants, and same
or similar colored polo shirts, or denim
shirts accomplish this affect. Formal
portraits are slightly harder, but most
men have dark blue or black suits, and
other suitable clothing can be obtained
at reasonable cost to round out a great
formal portrait.
Elements to avoid:
Busy patterns, old running shoes, tinted
lenses, new haircuts, and 5 o'clock
shadows.
To appear slimmer try:
Darker colors, solid colors (dark), one
color (head to toe with dark tones).
A little bit of care in clothing selection can make a world of difference in
how happy you are with your portraits. The family at right does not show
coordination. The family appears to be a random mix of people assembled
for a photograph. With today's busy lifestyle if can seem like just another
burden to coordinate the clothing, but the time it takes to make the portraits,
pales in comparison to the enjoyment you may have with them.
